The Oakleigh Carnegie RSL Sub Branch invites the community to a Remembrance Service on Sunday 6th November from 10.30am at the Cenotaph, Cnr Drummond St and Atherton Rd Oakleigh.
As Remembrance Day - 11th November - is not a public holiday and this year falls on a Friday, the Remembrance Sunday commemorative service provides opportunity for veterans and our community leaders, organisations and people to come together to remember and honour all who served our nation in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. We also give thanks to those service men and women who continue to serve our nation today.
Following the service light refreshments will be available at the Oakleigh Carnegie RSL, 95-97 Drummond St Oakleigh and the community is most welcome to attend.
On Remembrance Day, Friday 11th November, President of Oakleigh Carnegie RSL, Doug Pendergast, will attend the Cenotaph again at 11am to mark the signing of the Armistice which ended WW1.
